Jones Dream Weaver Women’s Snowboard 2023

The Dream Weaver is a new name in the Jones range for 22/23, but it’s not a new board. It’s just the new name for what was the Dream Catcher. Designed for riders looking for a more freeride-focused ride but who want a more rider-friendly and playful board than the regular all or nothing performance associated with regular freeride boards. Designed from the ground up to deliver that versatile daily driver performance, the Dream Weaver can handle absolutely everything you want to ride. Built around a fully directional shape with a directional flex and setback camber, the Dream Weaver gives you all the performance advantages you get from riding a directional board. So, you get that increased float at the front for riding powder and chop, with more stability and drive through the turn. However, instead of having a super stiff tail as most freeride boards do, Jones has dialled the stiffness back a little, giving the Dream Weaver a more playful, slightly softer tail. This change takes much of the aggression out of the board and makes it a lot more versatile. It transforms the board from being just a board for charging around the piste and pow into something that’s a lot more rider-friendly that you can just strap into and go ride absolutely everything on the mountain with.

Shape Overview

The Dream Weaver’s specially engineered directional shape creates a versatile ride across the whole mountain. The innovative Blunt Nose Profile allows the nose to rise quickly in deep snow, while the Traction Tech 2.0 adds multiple contact points to the sidecut, ensuring that the Dream Weaver feels locked in on even the iciest terrain. However, the secret to the Dream Weaver’s excellent performance is the freestyle inspired tail. Its softer flex gives the board a more playful overall ride creating a versatile freeride board that you don’t have to ride hard all the time.

Profile

The freeride inspired Directional Rocker combines an extended rocker zone at the nose with camber between the feet and a shorter rocker at the tail. This profile allows the board to float effortlessly in deep snow while still delivering a responsive and dynamic ride on hardpack terrain.

The shorter rocker at the tail helps create a more responsive and stable feel at the back of the board while still retaining a more playful catch-free ride.

3D Contour Base 1.0

The Dream Weaver features the unique Spoon-3D base. This advanced design bevels the base at the tip and tail to reduce friction at the contact points. This not only smooths out turn initiation and exit, but it also adds additional float while increasing the overall riding stability.

Construction

Heading up the Dream Weaver’s quality construction is the durable yet lightweight Classic Core. This premium poplar wood core delivers the perfect balance of performance, pop, flex and strength and is the ideal foundation for the Dream Weavers versatile ride. As Jones wanted to keep this board a little bit more playful, it utilises softer flexing Bi-Ax glass structural layers. These allow the board to flex both lengthwise and torsionally and are crucial to delivering that unique, playful freeride feel.

Base

To ensure that the Dream Weaver delivers excellent performance, it utilises the all-new high end 8000 Sintered base. Factory waxed with Wend Natural wax it’s going to provide a super-fast glide, no matter the conditions.
