The ATV-X splitboard is a pairing of the body of Sims’s iconic ATV with the more voluminous nose profile of the Vanish. This perfect harmony of all-terrain board and big-mountain charger creates a splitboard that’s literally at home wherever you take it. Featuring a set-back Pow Camber that transitions into an early rise nose above the front contact points, the ATV-X delivers the perfect powder performance. You won’t have to worry about front leg fatigue on this board. But the beauty of the ATV-X is that it’s not just great in powder. Its high-end construction featuring Sims’s MOD 5 core, overlaid tip to tail with two stringers of carbon fibre and finished with Liten tri-ax fibreglass ensures that the ATV-X works equally well when you’re just riding around, or hiking new tracks making it a truly versatile ride-anything split. To ensure that the ATV-X can take full advantage of its high-end construction, it utilises Isosport’s Premium Racing Base. This high-density sintered base is super fast and extremely tough. However, the thing that sets the ATV apart from other split boards is the timeless Sims graphics inspired by Sim’s founder, the all-time side-sliding visionary, Tom Sims.

Shape Overview: All Terrain Long Nose Twin

The ATV-X uses an advanced tapered shape that combines modern technology with classic all-terrain snowboard thinking. It features a more extended nose profile borrowed from the freeride Vanish mated to the ride anything chassis of the regular ATV. The ATV-X blurs between a big mountain charger and a versatile all-terrain board. 

Profile: Pow Camber

The ATV-X’s camber profile is formed from a slight rocker in the nose and a camber arc set back from the centre of the board. This responsive profile gives the board a directional balance that provides unrivalled float and control in the deep whilst still delivering great response and control on the piste.

Construction

When it comes to construction, the ATV-X doesn’t hold back. Heading up the high-end built is the featherweight Masters Light Core. Built utilising 100% lightweight poplar, it delivers a smooth yet poppy feel. To this, Sims form the structural layers from their lightweight Liten glass. By combining standard glass fibre running at 0° overlaid with a special lightweight glass at 90°, Sims creates a smooth flexing board that feels super light underfoot. To add an extra level of pop into the board, Sims reinforces the structural layers with two tip-to-tail carbon stringers. These carbon stringers run close to the edges of the board, giving a lively, locked-on feel while carving.

Base: Premium Racing (High Molecular Sintered)

Utilising industry-leading technology from ISOSPORT, this high-density, high-speed base material is chosen for its molecular weight. This delivers unrivalled speed, excellent wear resistance, and increased wax permeability.
